Abstract

As a psychology and human development double major with a minor in education, I was excited to work at a local hospital as a child life volunteer during the summer of 2024. In this career-funded experience, I got the opportunity to work alongside a team of certified child life specialists and interact with patients at bedside. Throughout my time here, I learned valuable lessons, both specific to this profession and career development in general.
