Abstract
Over the summer I was interning at Columbia University as a research assistant in the School of Social Work. This job pushed me to be more independent when given an assignment and taking more responsibility to ask questions to my advisor when needing clarification on assignments I was given. This internship provided me with the knowledge of additional research based terms and skills. I noticed that I enjoy group projects and group work far more than solo projects. I learned that I work more productively and confidently in group projects than solo projects and value the process far more than working on my own.
