Abstract
This reflection paper examines my internship experience as a Rating Analyst in the Retail Apparel and Restaurants team at Moody's Ratings during the summer of 2024. Secured through industry networking, the internship provided invaluable insights into the finance sector, particularly in credit analysis for the retail industry. The paper details the various tasks undertaken, including financial modeling, industry analysis, and extensive networking with professionals. It highlights the development of crucial skills such as time management, leadership, and analytical thinking, specifically in the context of evaluating retail and restaurant businesses.
