Abstract
The document attached below covers my experience as a United States Foreign Service Internship Program (USFSIP) intern at the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Development Finance (ODF) during the summer of 2024. I reflect on how my liberal arts education at Connecticut College, particularly in International Relations and History, prepared me for this position. I also discuss the importance of stepping outside one’s comfort zone for growth, how constructive feedback from supervisors shaped my development, and my reaffirmed commitment to pursuing a career as a Foreign Service Officer.
