Abstract

This past summer I have the opportunity to further my passion for physical therapy by working at my former PT clinic - ATI Brookline, as an OSS and PT Aide. I left this experience excited and more motivated in pursuing physical therapy, having a better grasp of the type of environment I want to work in, and a better understanding of the role of a therapist. At such a well-known and nation-wide clinic, I had a variety of resources to better my knowledge of physical therapist tasks both in the clinic and behind the scenes. My role allowed me to improve my professional and interpersonal skills through interactions with patients and other therapists, along with increase my comfortability leading patients through their time in the clinic through their treatment plans.
