Abstract
Over the summer I worked for the Westchester County Department of Health as an Environmental Health Technician. I was primarily a part of the beach/lakes sampling programs, upholding water quality standards, and mosquito surveillance and testing for West Nile Virus. Through the experience, I have solidified my desire to pursue a career in public health, and gained some valuable knowledge regarding laboratory, office, and fieldwork.
