Abstract

This summer, I worked as a camp nurse and director at Patterson Country Club, combining clinical care with leadership responsibilities. I applied my biochemistry background to real situations such as allergic reactions and minor injuries, while weekly consultations with a physician strengthened my clinical judgment. Beyond medical duties, I managed schedules, field trips, parent communication, and dietary needs. The experience sharpened my critical thinking, organization, and communication skills, and deepened my interest in pediatrics and community health.
