Abstract
This reflection paper recounts my summer 2025 internship as an analyst at Science and Technology Partners, a young hedge fund in Greenwich, Connecticut. The experience offered firsthand exposure to long/short investment strategies, financial modeling, and the practical use of tools such as Bloomberg, while also strengthening critical thinking, communication, and time management skills. I highlight the value of curiosity, persistence, and adaptability in navigating complex projects, as well as the importance of ethical considerations in finance. My liberal arts education provided a strong foundation for interdisciplinary analysis, enhancing my ability to synthesize information and present investment ideas effectively. The internship not only sharpened my technical and professional skills but also clarified my career interests, reinforced the importance of aligning work with personal values, and deepened my confidence in pursuing a future in investment management.
