Abstract

This paper outlines my experience as a research intern at the Localization Lab at Boston Children's Hospital, a computational neuroscience lab that studies the localization of seizure onset in multilesional epilepsy using Tuberous Sclerosis Complex as a model disorder. It details my duties in the lab, my thoughts on working in a computational lab environment, what the experience taught me about the scientific research process, and how the experience contributed to my professional and personal growth. Additionally, I reflect on the coursework that prepared me for this opportunity and how the experience reinforced my desire to pursue a career in neuroscience research.
