Abstract

During the summer, I completed an internship with Willkie Farr & Gallagher in the Legal Recruiting and Talent Management Department, where I supported both administrative operations and pro bono legal work. My responsibilities included assisting with the firm’s recruiting initiatives as well as contributing to an immigration case by transcribing a legal decision and developing a checklist to guide attorneys handling similar cases in the future. Through these experiences, I strengthened key professional skills, including interpersonal communication, organization, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This internship not only gave me insight into the dynamics of legal recruiting and talent management but also exposed me to the impact of pro bono work, deepening my understanding of the ways legal professionals contribute to both their firms and the broader community.
