Abstract
During the spring of 2025, I failed to secure a summer internship or find a job related to my academic interests. To compensate for my lack of employment related to academic interests and to symbolize to potential employers that I still did something related to my academic interests, I decided to look for virtual summer courses to take. Through the London School of Economics Machine Learning: Practical Learning course, I was able to learn about analyzing data using the methods of regression, variable selection, shrinkage, classification, tree-based methods, ensemble learning, unsupervised learning, and neural networks. Additionally, I learned about practically applying and implementing these machine learning methods to practical contexts.
