Abstract

This summer I completed an online course through the US Career Institute (USCI) to become a certified clinical medical assistant. This program was suggested to me by a peer as we both were interested in careers in healthcare. This course was self-paced, and involved completing learning modules that had quizzes at the end of each section to assess our learning. After completing the course, I opted to go one step further and obtain certification through the National Healthcareer Association by sitting for the CCMA exam.
