Abstract
This is a reflection on my experience as a student at Heidelberg University's International Summer School. Heidelberg is an international city in the southwest of Germany, approximately an hour south of Frankfurt. Heidelberg University is well known for its excellence in education. While a lot of the students attending have a bit of German language knowledge, they also offer courses for students that have never spoken German before. Most other courses require you to know a little of the language first. If you are an architecture student, while there isn't any specific architecture themes, Heidelberg is home to many old structures, including its castle, which has been blown up at least once but is still standing and beautiful. There are also opportunities to go on day trips to nearby historically significant cities, such as Nuremburg and Strasbourg(which is in France). You can also visit nearby cities such as Schwetzingen, whose castle is beautiful and hosts both Baroque and English gardens. The professors are quite nice and good at explaining things.
