Abstract

This reflection summarizes my summer as a Roosevelt in Washington (RIW) Fellow with the Roosevelt Network as well as a NAACP Research Intern. Throughout the reflection, I explain the fellowship's op-ed assignment, the multitude of networking opportunities, and what it is like living in DC for a summer. In addition, I go into the projects I was part of with the NAACP, in particular the National Convention in Charlotte, and the skills I was able to develop in just one summer.
