Abstract

The reflection paper outlines a 13-week internship with Alantra’s Technology M&A team in New York, where I gained hands-on experience in middle-market investment banking through live deal work, financial modelling, and client materials preparation. It highlights technical and communication skills developed under pressure, the collaborative and supportive culture of the firm, and valuable lessons learned from senior bankers. The experience confirmed my passion for investment banking, ultimately leading to a full-time offer and confidence in beginning a finance career.
