Abstract
During a summer at the Berkshire District Attorney's Office, I was able to participate in numerous outreach events, shadow members of the office, and create materials of my own. I was able to gain first-hand knowledge of how a prosecutor's office creates a safe community, including: advocating for policy, prosecuting criminals, and creating crime prevention programs. The paper goes into depth as to what I enjoyed, what I struggled with, and how it connects to my experience as a PICA scholar.
