Abstract

This reflection recounts important details from my summer spent at Lucid Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. I delve into my experiences learning new skills such as Excel, the Bloomberg Terminal, and CapIQ, as well as the lessons I learned from long-time industry professionals. This reflection also unpacks specific projects I was tasked with, such as a debt-analysis report where we (the intern class) used different platforms to compile crucial information about all the business development companies (BDCs) currently registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
