Abstract

Interning at FairVote MN was a valuable experience that immersed me into the world of grassroots politics and greatly developed my communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Most of my work was centered around having educated conversations about voting. I engaged in meetings with voting experts, conventions with elected officials, and door-knocks with candidates for the MN State Legislature. As a result of this experience, I am inspired to continue researching the intersection of media and communication throughout the political process.
