Abstract
Milannia Martin-Hayes reflects on her summer fellowship with Ballotpedia. She connects the experience to her Government major and the Holleran Center Program in Community Action. She acknowledges the obstacles for hyper-local candidates running for office and their constituents, and the role of Ballotpedia in reducing them. Finally, she connects this experience to her career goals, working for a non-profit, non-partisan community organization.
