Abstract

An overview of an internship experience at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, occurring during the summer of 2026. How my skills from Connecticut College set me up for success and how I navigated a field I had never set foot in. Challenges I faced while working with science and how I combated them, as well as discovering my strengths and weaknesses while in the discipline. How rewarding bonding with coworkers is, as well as how invaluable connections are for careers. Lastly, the desire to make a change in the field of vaccine creation.
