Abstract
During my summer internship at The Mix Loft in Quincy, MA, I set out to gain hands-on experience in commercial studio operations and develop proficiency in Pro Tools. I ended up independently teaching myself web design on Wix, SEO, and ad campaign management across Google and Reddit. I also assisted in live recording, mixing, mastering, and booth calibration, while learning to navigate real-world client management and studio downtime. Despite the operational hurdles, the internship strengthened my self-reliance, deepened my understanding of music business operations, and established valuable industry connections.
