Abstract
This paper reflects my experience in the summer of 2026 as an archaeological field school student in Bulgaria with the Balkan Heritage Foundation through the Institute for Field Research. I discuss my learning outcomes, what it was like to work on-site, and how this experience has shifted my future educational path. Additionally, I provide personal anecdotes from this experience that I look back on fondly.
