Abstract
elected to participate in the Adventures in Veterinary Medicine (AVM) College Program at Tufts University's Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. A week-long intensive pre-veterinary program designed to give students a view into not only a DVM program but into the field of veterinary medicine as a whole. Participated in expert-led lectures and first-year-style case studies, gaining insight into veterinary diagnostics, public health, and diverse career paths. Built practical skills through hands-on labs, including live animal handling, physical examinations, simulation-based emergency training (ultrasound, intubation, CPR), and clinical procedures such as suturing and bandaging.
