Abstract

This summer I interned at Arista Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Paramus, New Jersey. As an Intake Counselor, I spoke directly with potential patients, while also managing behind the scenes tasks for the business. This paper goes through the daily tasks, benefits, and challenges of this experience. I also speak about my long-term goals within the field of Psychology, and how this experience altered them.
