Abstract
A description of Dexter's experience as a prospective educator at Columbia University's Program in Building Community. This was a residential internship where I served as a Programming and Residential Life intern, meaning I lead on campus and off campus events for students, whom I also supervised in a residential context. There are discussions of working in the private sector, the ethics of working at an institution like Columbia, and how living in the city impacted me personally and professionally.
