Abstract

Options for Community Living is a non-profit social work organization that works to connect at risk populations(those struggling with physical or mental health diagnoses, HIV/AIDS, homelessness, exc.) to housing, medical, and social resources. I spent the summer as an intern in their "Access to Care" department. My main role was to call clients and inform them what their "Gaps In Care" were. Gaps In Care is the standard that a individuals health insurance recommends for routine care. Options for Community Living was a wonderful place to spend my summer as it furthered my education and shape my career goals.
