Abstract

This reflection paper details the author's summer balancing Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification with a full-time research internship in Italy. Integrating technical training with a liberal arts education, the author earned xEV and A6 certifications while navigating professional opportunities. Concurrently, they conducted quality assurance at an Italian molding company and visited nuclear fusion facilities in Geneva, experiences that clarified their career goals in the electric vehicle and sustainable technology sectors.
