Abstract

During the summer of 2026, I participated in an internship at Illume Fertility in Norwalk CT. During my time at Illume, I shadowed various healthcare professionals as they worked, doing direct client care, clinic appointments, surgical procedures, and more. Here I got to refine my skills with patient interaction and get a generally larger scope of the IVF and fertility field. Being able to watch various surgical procedures such as a hysteroscopy and egg retrieval was a novel experience for me, and affirmed my desire to work in the healthcare field in the future.
