Abstract
This reflection summarizes my internship experience with Challenging Heights, a child protection NGO in Ghana, completed through the Walter Commons Bessell Fellowship Program. My primary objectives were to gain professional exposure to nonprofit research and advocacy while immersing myself in a new cultural environment. Working with the Research and Development team, I analyzed monitoring and evaluation datasets, supported policy-oriented projects, and participated in field visits to schools and shelters. These tasks strengthened my skills in data analysis, organization, communication, and cultural adaptability.
