Abstract

This reflection details my summer 2026 experience at the Department of Radiology in Albert Einstein Medical College, where I worked alongside a Connecticut College alumna to co-author a manuscript for publication. The manuscript utilizes functional MRI data from the Autism Brain Imaging Data Exchange (ABIDE) initiative to investigate hemodynamic markers in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Beyond this, I was allowed to audit a PhD-level bioimaging coding class and gain hands-on experience in the MRI lab. Altogether, this internship blended my liberal arts background with scientific collaboration and research.
