Abstract
This summer, I worked closely with CSCR and the fishing vessel Golden Eye to collect population health data of the American Lobster. Focusing on Epizootic Shell Disease, or shell rot, I collected length, width, sex, and photo evidence of shell rot in Cohasset waters. To better understand the population health of the American lobster on a local scale, I was able to go out on a lobster fishing boat and measure lobster catch brought up from the ocean bottom. This internship allows me to rely on data I collected as the basis for my SIP project this coming fall semester.
