Abstract
This reflection discusses my summer internship at 74 North Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity firm operating as an independent sponsor. During my internship, I gained hands-on experience in investment due diligence, financial analysis, and business development. My responsibilities included analyzing the quality of earnings and revenue for potential acquisitions, managing outreach databases, and developing automated workflows using Python, n8n, and other tools to improve operational efficiency. The experience allowed me to apply my academic background in computer science, economics, and finance to real-world business challenges. It also strengthened my analytical, technical, and communication skills while helping me better understand the ethical responsibilities involved in healthcare investing. Overall, the internship reinforced my interest in pursuing a career at the intersection of finance, technology, and data analytics.
